POLICE CHIEF TASKS OFFICERS TO RESPECT CITIZENS’ RIGHTS

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has challenged officers and men of the police force to respect the rights of the citizens in the course of discharging their duties, warning that rights abuse amounts to corruption and injustice.

The Inspector General stressed that respect for human rights is fundamental to peaceful coexistence in any society.

He also called on policemen across the country to remain committed to the fight against corruption which he said is critical to the attainment of success.
