The Senate has opened up on the alleged plot to unseat Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and other principal officers.

The upper chamber agreed that there were subtle moves to effect leadership change in the Senate.

Senator representing Nasarawa West, Abdullahi Adamu was named as the arrowhead of the alleged plot.

Abdullahi Adamu, who is chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture, while reacting to the reports said he never had any interest or ambition to remove the Senate President or anyone else.

However, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, warned against any plot that would undermine the institution of the National Assembly.
