The Joint Health Sector Union in Nigeria has said that its members will embark on a nationwide strike from April 18, 2018 in all federal medical institutions if the Federal Government fails to comply with salary adjustment structure agreement reached in September last year.

President of the Union, Biobele Moye disclosed this at the Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Rivers State, to sensitise stakeholders on the looming industrial action.

He explained that the union’s agreement with the Federal Government on September 30, last year should have been fulfilled in five weeks, regretting that after five months, the Federal Government was yet to commence its implementation.
